Most of mineral resources are scarcely produced in Korea, and are imported as ores, concentrates, semi-products or alloys. ASC is fully equipped with a team of inspectors and surveyors who are experienced in mining and metallurgy and highly skilled in the technic of inspection. By those experts, ASC carries out sampling, quality surveys and measuring services of raw materials for iron production including iron ore, coal, cokes, silica, pig iron and steel scraps. When unloading bulk mineral cargoes, the grab cranes are the major evildoers. The greatest losses are due to grab cranes spilling cargo. ASC’s directions and attentiveness simply prevent a great deal of undue loss of material from the beginning of unloading operation.
